Keyboard shortcuts
iA Writer Pro for Mac is designed to be used without a mouse. Here are iA Writer Pro’s default keyboard shortcuts by menu. If you also use iA Writer Pro for iPad and iPhone together with a Bluetooth keyboard, some of these (including Syntax and Workflow) also work there.

Word Completion: Show a completion menu for the current partially typed word using Esc.
Apple’s Dictionary: select a word then use Control-Command-D to show a pop-up definition.
You can assign keyboard shortcuts to menu items which lack them (or modify existing ones) via System Preferences ➤ Keyboard ➤ Shortcuts ➤ Application Shortcuts.
You can turn on a keyboard shortcut to create a new email from selected text in System Preferences ➤ Keyboard ➤ Shortcuts ➤ Services ➤ Messaging (by default it is Control-Option-Command-A).
